Tarayıcı VPN eklentilerinin neredeyse tamamı aslında Proxy'dir de o yüzden. Bazıları VPN Proxy veya secure Proxy diye de belirtiyor.
İnsanlar VPN ismine daha fazla güvendiği için öyle pazarlıyorlar.

VPN dediğimiz şey OSI modeline göre ağ katmanına müdahale eder, tarayıcı ise uygulama katmanındadır ve tam VPN özellikleri kullanılamaz. Tarayıcı eklentilerinde bu "VPN"ler tarayıcının Proxy izinlerini kullanarak trafiği şifreler.


Bazı VPN'lerin tarayıcı eklentileri ise bilgisayarda kurulu native VPN uygulaması ile haberleşir, bu sayede gerçek bir VPN kullanmış oluruz.

Opera Çin'e ait değildir. Çin'de kurulmadı. Şirketin adresi Çin'de değil. Veriler Çin'de değil. Çin yasalarına tabi değil.

Topladığı veriler de GDPR ile korunuyor. Kaldi ki bugun kullandigin neredeyse her servis verilerini toplayip bir baskasina satiyor. Bu bahanelere gulup geciyorum o yuzden.

Opera is headquartered and registered in Norway. This means we comply with Norwegian and European regulations, including the GDPR. As a public company that trades on the NASDAQ stock exchange, Opera has investors from all over the world, and Kunlun Tech is the largest one. However, Kunlun's shares in Opera do not give Kunlun access to Opera's data, nor make it a part of the Opera group of companies. Therefore, any issues of jurisdiction to Chinese laws do not apply to Opera in any way.
